Four disciplines

Engines,
interfaces,
models, markets.

I build the thing and the thing that ships it — real-time 3D worlds, production web front-ends, machine learning systems, and a trading process that runs on the same discipline as the code.

Currently

Building Luminas.

An AI model family of my own. First release: Luminas Astra 1 — focused on software engineering and code.

01 — Who I am

I'm Forgely — Shivam, internationally Forgely H. I build 3D games, ship web products, engineer AI systems, and trade gold and euro against the dollar.

  • 01 3D Game Developer
  • 02 Web Developer
  • 03 AI / ML Engineer
  • 04 Forex Market Trader
See the disciplines

Most people pick one lane. I found that the four I work in keep feeding each other. Building a game engine taught me how to think about frame budgets and memory, which made me a sharper web developer. Training models taught me to respect data quality and evaluation, which is exactly the discipline that separates a profitable trading process from gambling. And reading price action for hours taught me the patience that long training runs demand.

On the 3D game development side I work in real-time — gameplay systems, physics, shaders, level tooling, optimisation. On the web side I build fast, accessible, animated interfaces and the back-ends behind them. As an AI/ML engineer I work across the pipeline: datasets, training, fine-tuning, evaluation, inference and deployment. And in the forex market I trade two instruments only — XAUUSD and EURUSD — because depth beats breadth.

The thread running through all of it right now is Luminas, my own AI model family. Its first model, Luminas Astra 1, is built specifically for software engineering and coding work.

02 — What I do

Four disciplines,
one way of working.

Expand any track to see the tools, the systems I've built, and how I approach the work.

I build interactive 3D — playable worlds, not just renders. That means gameplay programming, physics and collision, character controllers, camera systems, AI behaviour for NPCs, animation state machines, and the tooling that lets a level get built without an engineer in the room. I care a lot about the frame budget: draw calls, LODs, occlusion culling, texture atlasing, and profiling until the frame time is boring.

On the visual side I write shaders — surface materials, dissolves, force fields, water, stylised lighting — and build VFX and particle systems. I also handle the full asset path: modelling and UVs, PBR texturing, rigging, baking, and getting everything into the engine at a sane poly and memory budget.

Tools & tech

  • Unity
  • Unreal Engine
  • C#
  • C++
  • Blender
  • HLSL / GLSL
  • Shader Graph
  • Substance
  • Physics & Collision
  • Animation Systems
  • Level Design
  • Profiling & Optimisation

How I work

  • Gameplay first. A prototype that feels right before anything gets art-passed.
  • Systems, not scripts. Reusable, data-driven components over one-off logic.
  • Performance is a feature. Target frame time set on day one and profiled against.
  • Tooling pays for itself. Editor tools so designers iterate without me.
  • Ship playable. Builds early, tested on real target hardware.

I build web products end to end — interfaces that feel considered and back-ends that hold up. On the front I work in modern JavaScript and TypeScript with React and Next.js, and I put real effort into motion: scroll-driven sequences, WebGL and Three.js scenes, and micro-interactions that make an interface feel responsive rather than decorated. The page you're reading is an example — a 59-frame image sequence scrubbed by scroll on a canvas, with a WebGL particle field behind it.

On the back I build REST and realtime APIs, model and query databases, handle authentication and authorisation, integrate third-party services, and deploy with CI. I hold the whole thing to a standard: semantic accessible markup, keyboard support, reduced-motion fallbacks, Core Web Vitals, and responsive behaviour that's designed for mobile rather than squeezed onto it.

Tools & tech

  • JavaScript
  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Next.js
  • Three.js / WebGL
  • GSAP
  • HTML5 & CSS3
  • Node.js
  • Python
  • REST & WebSockets
  • SQL & NoSQL
  • Git
  • Vite
  • Accessibility

How I work

  • Performance budget up front. Motion never costs the user a smooth scroll.
  • Mobile is not an afterthought. Effects tier down by device capability.
  • Accessible by default. Semantics, focus states, reduced-motion honoured.
  • Animation with intent. Motion that guides attention, not motion for its own sake.
  • Own the whole stack. From database schema to the last easing curve.

I work across the machine learning pipeline rather than at one end of it. That starts with data — collection, cleaning, deduplication, filtering and labelling, because model quality is mostly data quality wearing a costume. From there: architecture and training, fine-tuning and parameter-efficient methods like LoRA, quantisation, and evaluation harnesses that measure whether a change actually helped instead of whether it felt better.

My focus is language models and applied LLM systems — retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings and vector search, tool use and function calling, agent loops, structured output, and prompt and context engineering. On the deployment side I handle inference optimisation, serving, batching, caching, streaming and monitoring, so a model that works in a notebook also works under real traffic. This is the discipline that Luminas comes out of.

Tools & tech

  • Python
  • PyTorch
  • Transformers
  • CUDA
  • Fine-tuning & LoRA
  • Quantisation
  • RAG
  • Vector Databases
  • Embeddings
  • Agents & Tool Use
  • Evaluation
  • Inference Optimisation
  • Docker
  • MLOps

How I work

  • Data before architecture. Clean, deduplicated, well-filtered data first.
  • Evaluate honestly. Held-out benchmarks, not cherry-picked demos.
  • Small and sharp. A focused model that runs beats a huge one that can't be served.
  • Reproducible runs. Versioned data, configs and checkpoints.
  • Ship to inference. A model isn't done until it's fast in production.

I trade the forex market with a deliberately narrow scope: gold against the dollar (XAUUSD) and euro against the dollar (EURUSD). Two instruments, studied properly, beats twenty watched casually — you learn how each one actually behaves through sessions, news and volatility regimes.

My approach is technical and structural: market structure, support and resistance, supply and demand zones, liquidity and order blocks, trend and momentum, and multi-timeframe confluence — top-down from the higher timeframe bias to the execution timeframe. I also track the macro side that moves these pairs: interest rate decisions, CPI and inflation prints, NFP, central bank policy, DXY strength, and gold's behaviour as a risk hedge. Every trade is planned before entry with a defined stop, target and risk-to-reward, and it's journaled after — because the review loop is where the edge actually compounds.

  • Liquidity & Order Blocks
  • Multi-Timeframe Analysis

Rules I trade by

  • Risk defined first. Fixed percentage per trade, stop placed before entry.
  • Two pairs only. XAUUSD and EURUSD — depth over breadth.
  • No setup, no trade. Sitting out is a position.
  • Journal everything. Entry logic, emotion, outcome, review.
  • Process over profit. A good loss beats a lucky win.

I design and build digital products where engineering precision meets visual craft— fast, useful, and unmistakably premium.

The work I'd point at first — a model, a motion system, and a 3D runtime.

Flagship AI

A private model that turns intent into action.

RAG pipelines, tool-using agents, and vector memory — wrapped in an interface that feels calm and fast. This is the line of work that became Luminas.

04 — Current project

LUMINAS

Luminas is my own AI model family. The first model in it, Luminas Astra 1, is built for one job and built to be genuinely good at it: software engineering and coding. Not a general assistant that also writes code — a model shaped around how software actually gets built.

01

Built for code

Astra 1 is specialised for software engineering: writing and completing code, reading unfamiliar codebases, refactoring, debugging, explaining what a system does, reviewing changes, and writing tests. The training and evaluation are aimed at that target rather than averaged across everything.

02

Engineering-shaped

Real engineering isn't single-file snippets. Astra 1 is designed around multi-file context, following an existing convention instead of imposing one, reasoning through a change before making it, and producing structured output that tools can consume — not just prose that happens to contain code.

03

A family, not a one-off

Astra 1 is the first release, not the whole plan. Luminas is intended as a family of models with a shared foundation, each release sharpening a specific domain. Astra is the software engineering line — and the one that proves the approach works.

05 — The markets

Two pairs.
Studied properly.

I trade gold and the euro against the dollar. Narrow scope on purpose — you can only really know an instrument's behaviour if you watch it every session.

XAUUSD Metal / USD

Gold against the US Dollar

  • High volatility — respects structure but punishes loose stops
  • Driven by real yields, DXY strength and risk sentiment
  • Traded around London and New York session opens
  • Reacts hard to CPI, NFP and central bank policy
EURUSD Major / USD

Euro against the US Dollar

  • The most liquid major — tight spreads, clean structure
  • Driven by ECB and Fed rate differentials
  • Cleanest technical behaviour in the London session
  • Ranges are tradable; breakouts need confirmation
01

Top-down analysis

Bias from the higher timeframe down. Weekly and daily set direction; lower timeframes are for execution only, never for the thesis.

02

Structure & liquidity

Market structure, supply and demand zones, order blocks and liquidity pools. I want a reason the price should react, not a line that looks nice.

03

Risk before entry

Fixed risk per trade, stop and target defined before the position exists. Position size follows the stop — never the other way around.

04

Journal & review

Every trade logged with its reasoning, execution and outcome. The review loop is the actual edge; the setup is just the entry point.

08 — How I work

Same process,
whatever the medium.

STEP 01

Understand the constraint

Frame budget, latency target, model size, risk per trade — every problem has the one number that decides the design. I find it before I build anything.

STEP 02

Prototype the risky part

Build the piece most likely to fail first. A rough version that proves the approach beats a polished version of the wrong idea.

STEP 03

Build the system

Once the approach holds, make it reusable and data-driven — components, configs and tooling instead of one-off logic that rots.

STEP 04

Measure honestly

Profiler, benchmark, eval harness, trade journal. Numbers that can tell me I was wrong, not numbers chosen to say I was right.

STEP 05

Ship, then refine

Real users, real hardware, real market conditions. Everything after launch is informed by what actually happened rather than what I assumed.

09 — Services

10 — Principles

Four ideas that shape every build.

01

Clarity over cleverness

The best interface disappears. If someone has to work out how it functions, the design already failed.

02

Motion with meaning

It is choreography, never decoration. Every transition should tell you where something came from or where it went.

03

Ship, then refine

Real feedback beats perfect plans. Something in front of users teaches more in a day than a month of theorising.

04

Details are the design

Type, spacing, easing, and the pause before a transition. The difference between fine and premium is entirely there.

Experience

FAQ

Good questions,
honest answers.

Web apps and animated sites, AI integrations and tooling, browser games and 3D scenes, and Python automation. Broadly: anything that sits between design and engineering, where both halves have to be good for the thing to work.

A short call to find the real constraint, then a written scope so we both know what "done" means. From there I work in visible increments — you see builds early and often rather than a reveal at the end. I'd rather be corrected in week one than week six.

A focused landing page or animated site is usually one to two weeks. A full product interface or a game prototype runs three to six. AI tooling depends almost entirely on the data situation — if the data is clean it's fast, and if it isn't, that's the project. I'd rather quote honestly than quote low.

Yes, and I prefer to match the conventions already there rather than impose my own. I'll read the codebase before suggesting changes to it. If something genuinely needs rethinking I'll make the case, but a consistent codebase beats a clever one.

Not yet — Luminas Astra 1 is in active development and it's a private model for now. It's built for software engineering and coding rather than general assistance. If you're interested in early access or collaborating on it, get in touch.
